Sheep Casings is an edible casing which is usually used to make sausage links or breakfast sausage for pork meat. Each coil is about 100 yards long, and can make between 50-60 lbs. These casings should be soaked and flushed in water before using. If casings are salted, they acquire long lasting shelf life when stored properly. If they are Un-refrigerated, they starts emitting a strong odor in short span of time, even though they are not spoiled. You should put them back under refrigeration instantly and you will find that this odor for the most part settles.
