Excellent Sauerkraut Crock
April 25, 2017
We have made our second batch of sauerkraut with our 10L crock. We love the seal at the top that you put water in. It was fun to hear it burp while it was fermenting. As the water evaporated in the rim we added more without opening the crock. No mold. Just delicious kraut after 6 weeks. We added two tablespoons of caraway in half our kraut. And we added 1 cup of apple cider to the other half. We did these additions right before we packed our jars for a water bath in our Ball electric canner. We used to have an old tan colored pot but it molded on top. This new fermenting crock is the best we have ever tried!
