Omega NC800HDS Juicer NC800

What an experience! My Omega NC800 has enabled me to know just what all the "hoopla" is about regarding fresh juice! It's awesome! I've had the best juice production with firm, more dense produce, like carrots, celery, cukes, herbs, etc., verses softer, mushier produce, like strawberries, tomatoes, etc., which tend to back up in the feed tube. By adding the firmer produce after the softer ones, it aids in getting those to juice more completely. That is an area where I feel the Omega product falls short...a guide book did not come with the juicer; only a paper showing the juicer parts. Directions for use with different varieties & textures of produce, how to keep pulp out of the juice when disassembling to clean out the screen, what size of produce pieces that should be used, when to use more or less pressure on the produce,& other helpful information would be a great addition to go along with the juicer, as well as a dozen or so juice recipes. I've never purchased a small appliance that hasn't come with some sort of guide booklet. Omega might consider doing so. This is why I gave the Omega a "good" rating instead of an "excellent" rating.

Otherwise the NC800 is doing a great job of juicing, leaving very little moisture in the expelled pulp. I'm amazed by the amount of juice that comes from most produce, especially herbs & carrots! Such wonderful fresh flavors & brilliant colors! My favorite combination so far is pineapple & cilantro! Who would have thought??

Harvest Essentials has been great to deal with. Upon arrival, the juice container that came boxed with the juicer was cracked. Harvest Essentials had me take photos & send to them. Then they contacted Omega & within a week or so I received a new container. The H.E. reps were very helpful! Thank you!

So far, the juicer is superior to any vertical masticating juicer I've ever used. The clean up is much easier too. My only concern is that I can't get any simple questions answered by Harvest Essentials, so I will have to contact Omega during their office hours. I hope all goes well.

Love this thing. Makes great juice, and I like being able to adjust the back pressure to extract as much as possible from greens (I wasn't initially sure how much difference it would make, but I feel like it helps a lot - glad I chose this model). Easy to clean, which is essential to me. Perhaps best of all is that I have a young son who LOVES to make juice with me. He loves picking what to put in next and tamping things down into the chute, and he loves watching the auger chew it all up. Lots of nutritious fun!

Juicer arrived within a week, not bad as it was being delivered to the east coast. no problem grinding up anything I've put in it as of yet. Best price I found was here.

Does an excellent job on greens, celery, beets, apples and even a banana peel. Pulp is very dry. Clean up is not bad at all. I am really enjoying my juicer.

I was excited to begin my juicing journey and purchased the Omega Juicer. It worked great juicing most hard fruits & vegis. I would not recommend it for soft items like pears, tomatoes, watermelon, cherries, strawberries or item with similar textures. Because it is a masticating juicer, I think it must need the fiber of the harder items like carrots, to push the juice through. I found it backed up whenever I used anything soft. It was great for greens and did well with beets, celery, apples & carrots. I did have a problem with the locking clip. Sometimes it would be easy to turn, but then it would lock up and I couldn't turn it at all. I found it frustrating. I cleaned it after each use, and found it very frustrating when I couldn't get the locking clip to unlock so I could clean it, or put it back together. I am calling Omega today to see if it can be fixed. I have had it for 14 days so far and am hoping it can be fixed.

My original rating was 3 stars for the reasons I mentioned. However, I called Omega and within seconds had a solution for the locking ring problem and it is working great now. I also used their advice and alternated the soft and hard foods and that is working great as well. I LOVE MY JUICER! Thank you OMEGA!

I just happened to check this link for the Omega juicer. I saw the comment about making mud. My Omega juicer is two years old and it has never made mud. This juicer is a masticator and will grind hard carrots and kelp and will wring out the juices to the pulp emitted is nearly dry. If grinding softer fruit, apples and such, you must adjust the dial so it doesn't try to masticate the apples. Otherwise they can load up the inside and not expel the pulp.

Frankly I am wondering if you swapped out the juicer attachment for the noodle attachment. The noodle attachment has no holes or screen for juicing. I'll bet you did. This juicer is just too simple in design and function to all of a sudden stop working. Check how you assembled it.

I have owned many juicers over the years and the quality of machine far exceeds all others. I was a little weary of all the parts but they are EASY to assemble and its pretty easy to clean as well. In addition to the quality of machine, the quality of juice is awesome!! LOVE IT. GREAT BUY FOR THE $$. If you are an every day juicer, spend the money to get this product.

The phone was answered by a very professional employee almost immediately. She answered all of my questions and was very knowledgable. Very happy with my experience as well as the product!

This juicer is very sturdy and well made. The user instructions are adequate but there is no recipe booklet or DVD which is a huge oversight and deterrent for novice juicers. Fortunately, the company website has an attractive selection of recipes and there are user demo videos on YouTube.

This is my first juicer and like many I was tempted to start with a centrifugal because of price. A good centrifugal was going to be about $80 and while this masticating juicer was more expensive, I believe the $80 would have been a waste of cash. This unit performs well, easy to clean and is super quiet! I'm very happy with my decision and would highly recommend . Also it's got a 15 year warranty!

We juice twice a week. First two weeks it was great. Since then, it is making MUD no matter what we do including cleaning screen half way through! I'm shocked, disappointed - this is useless since my husband needs juice, not smoothie like drink for his cancer! We are juicing the exact same greens and drink ingredients as we were originally so what's changed? we can't figure it out and not using reverse doesn't matter. I would never recommend to anyone.

I have a centrifugal juice as well as this Omega NC 800. As advertised, the NC does do a better job with greens and hard veggies such as carrots, sweet potatoes etc. It pulp extract is dry and the juice quality and quantity is excellent It gets plugged up with softer veggies and soft fruits such as tomatoes as the fine filter for the extracted juice gets clogged with pulp. Clean up is a breeze but prep-time is much longer that that for the centrifugal. It does seem like it's built to last.

First masticating juicer I've ever owner and its works great. Had a centrifugal many many years ago and I see a lot in thrift stores, good place for them. Have made some sorbet more than once already, run it through twice when I add more than one type of frozen fruit, delicious. Would highly recommend this product for those serious about continuing their juicing routine for life, totally worth the price. Looking forward to making all that this machine is capable of. All parts except juice screen are easy to clean up, but it is not really that bad cleaning the screen, 1 minute tops with the fancy brush. Totally worth the purchase.

I had the Juice Fountain originally but was dissatisfied with wet pulp. A friend recommended this juicer and I got the newer model of what she had. WE LOVE IT! Pulp is so dry. We buy only organic produce so I want every drop of juice I can get out of it. My husband has cancer and this juice is important for him. We do use the pulp in shakes and soups, but don't use it all....so I want my juice! This juicer is perfect and I love my red juicer!! I don't like Crome or stainless.

Great product , price and warranty. This juicer is all u need for daily use of healthy juicing. Easy to clean and use. I love this juicer that I recently bought to get me more healthy!!!!

Let me start this review by saying I own 3 juicers already, so this purchase was made after careful consideration of the features the new Omega offers. I must say, it is very simple to operate and super easy to clean. It does an excellent job at juicing greens, my main goal, but it juices everything very well. I have another masticating juicer that I love, but it is a pain to clean and it takes longer to juice. I wanted a juicer that was faster to clean and use so I could juice more during the week. This Omega fits the bill. It is easier to put produce in the chute and it chews quickly! The pulp is not quite as dry as I would like, since I am used to the Green Star juicer pulp being VERY dry. I will continue to use the Green Star on the weekends when I have more time. Overall, I am very satisfied with this juicer. The warranty is very impressive on this model too. It serves the exact purpose I wanted and did not break the bank!

After searching long and hard, and almost conceding to considering a refurbished Juicer, I found this brand new one on sale at Harvest Essentials. It was delivered promptly with Free shipping, unlike the re-furbished ones on sale at Amazon. This item is a gift, which we have not delivered yet, so I can't write anything on the quality of the Juicer, only to say I also did research that indicates this juicer is of a high quality.

I did my research on juicers & decided on the Omega 800/900 model. (800 being silver/red; 900 being chrome).

The juicer works great, and is easy to clean (5 mins).

I like the fact that this juicer will juice probably anything and it does so efficiently enough. And, it creates more juice than the centripetal juicer I previously had. I like to add apples last because the last stuff you put in it does not go all the way through it so I end up with great applesauce in the machine. Yum! A treat while cleaning up.

I don't have any experience with other juicers, since this is my first, but it was certainly the right choice for me. I've used the device almost a dozen time now and greatly enjoy everything I have made. This juicer is excellent at juicing leafy green vegetables, but it doesn't stop there. I manages to masticate even hard items like carrots and frozen fruit with relative ease. It has a bit of trouble with soft items like tomatoes as it tends to create juice with a lot of pulp, but the adjustable pressure helps a bit and pouring through a strainer will solve this problem completely. As a result, the yields for these items were lower, but there are better (more expensive) juicers out there for tasks like this. Clean up with this juicer couldn't be simpler though! It takes me less than five minutes to clean the whole device after use thanks to the small mess area and provided cleaning brush. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who juices a large amount of the leafy greens or anyone who is just getting started juicing and doesn't want to spend as much time cleaning or pay more for a higher end juicer.

I have been using the Omega NC800 Juicer now for 6 months and am really enjoying it. I juice Wheat Grass every morning and this machine does the trick!

We previously had a juicer that had a lot to be desired when it came to producing as much juice out of carrots ... apples ... beets ... etc ... and it did not do leafy vegetables at all ... so when I viewed a demo of your amazing juicer ... I wanted to get it and did!! We simply LOVE IT and it does such an incredible job and the pulp comes out almost dry unlike our previous juicer ... in fact we gave our old juicer away as the Omega ... it the ONLY ONE that we need!! Thank you for such an incredible product and great service of getting it to us in a timely manor!! :)

I owned a Breville juice fountain for 4 years and the Omega hands down has it beat!

Pros: Stays cool when juicing, quiet and produces more juice that is 90% pulp free. Also the parts are easy to take apart,wash,put together. Bonus noodle maker, ice cream, butter attachments! I would have marked excellent if the auger was not so slippery. Would be amazing if all the parts were stainless steel!

Cons: Takes up decent amount of counter space, Sometimes the auger is slippery when grinding large carrots or veggies that are wet.

Really good looking juicer. Works great and is a little better than the 8003 I used to have before this.
