This 100% Stainless Steel Replacement Tray fits all 5 and 9 tray Excalibur Dehydrators.

This tray was designed particularly for people who dry meats and other food in which a through cleaning and disinfecting of the trays are needed. These stainless steel trays will stand up to high temperatures and heavy cleaning. They can be placed into the dishwasher or steam cleaned and are made from the same high grade stainless steel we use in our commercial dehydrators.

The tray is constructed with 100% 304 stainless steel 1/4 inch square mesh so no polyscreens are needed.

Since the trays that with the units are plastic, these are worth the price. Can also be used as a cooling surface for baked goods and other items needing circulation.

It was difficult to clean the stuck on fruit. Using a non-stick spray would impart it's flavor into the fruit. There is the extra added cost to use the liners.

Due to the non-standard size of 15" square, it was difficult to find a container big enough to soak the trays. Most containers are 14" square of smaller. And if a 16" wide is available, it is 10" tall or more when one only needs it to be 4" tall.

Merchant's comment:Thank you for your product feedback. If you are having issue with sticking to the stainless, there are some flavor free non stick sprays available. Mesh sheets do cost extra but are well worth the expense as they save time in clean up as well. However, if you are using something that starts out as a puree or liquid, then the non stick sheets are the way to go. Of course you can also use parchment paper for a low cost alternative. As for soaking the trays and or sheets, most people will find that these fit in a sink or a utility room sink if the kitchen sink does not accommodate.

Very nice trays. Very sturdy. Clean up readily. Not the best thing to use when doing initial drying of tomatoes due to sticking but that is why there are tray liners.

While I've only begun using these racks, they seem well made, sturdy and should last for years. They work great in my solar sun dyer and pop into the electric dryer for finishing-off.

Bought 9 of the stainless steel trays to replace the plastic ones. So much better and easier to clean. Just put them in the dishwasher. Wish I would have purchase the dehydrator that came with these in the first place.
